Wenger attends MARS Championship Series finale at Tri-City

With Friday’s opener falling to persistent weather, McKay Wenger returned to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Saturday evening for the MARS Championship Series season finale.

Drawing 36 cars for the Late Model portion of the track’s annual Mod Mania, Wenger edged his way into the $5,000-to-win main event with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Rolling off 13th, McKay ran as high as eighth but was one of 10 cars that retired early from the 30-lapper.
