McKay Wenger notches fourth-place finish at Hidden Hollow Speedway
McKay Wenger ventured into unfamiliar territory over the weekend, heading to the Bluegrass State for Friday’s Coal Miners Classic at Hidden Hollow Speedway.
After qualifying sixth-fastest, Wenger powered past Colten Burdette to win his heat race. In the $7,500-to-win feature, he delivered a strong showing, coming home with a fourth-place finish.
Wenger’s weekend was set to continue Saturday at Lawrenceburg Speedway for the Whiskey City 30, but his outing was cut short. While leading his heat race, a broken rear-end forced him to retire early, bringing his weekend to a close.
