Wenger triumphs at Farmer City Raceway

McKay Wenger’s late-season surge continued over the weekend with a $1,500 triumph at Farmer City Raceway.

Wenger opened the night by stopping the clock at 12.530 seconds to earn fast-time honors, then led all eight laps of his heat race. Starting from the front row of the main event, he dominated the 25-lapper, crossing the finish line more than three seconds ahead to secure his third victory of the season.

Saturday's program at Fairbury Speedway was cut short by rain. After finishing second in his heat and securing a third row starting spot for the feature, Wenger saw the remainder of the night postponed due to threatening weather.
