Wenger fifth in Sycamore's Summer Sizzler

McKay Wenger made a surprise start with the Wabam Dirt Kings Tour on Friday afternoon at Sycamore Speedway (Maple Park, Ill.) for the Summer Sizzler.

Aboard the Curless Motorsports No. 99 Late Model, Wenger missed out on qualifying but was able to race into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a sixth-to-third heat showing. Moving forward again in the feature, McKay climbed two spots in the 25-lap affair to place finish. He chased Mike Spatola, Mike Mullen, Nick Anvelink, and Brett Swedberg to the checkers.
