McKay Wenger back in Victory Lane at Fairbury Speedway

Saturday night saw McKay Wenger return to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) piloting his Jeri’s Birdhouse Pet Boarding No. 42 Rocket Chassis Late Model for another round of the FALS Cup. Drawing 23 cars, Wenger topped the speed charts in time trials before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Rolling off on the pole for the feature, McKay surrendered the top spot early but rebounded with two-to-go to bring home his second win of the season over Allen Weisser, Mike Spatola, Kevin Weaver, and Scott Schmitt. Taking the checkers 0.717 seconds ahead of Weisser, Wenger bagged a $2,500 payday.
